Scotland’s West Coast

My life took a complete turn when I embraced a new way of living and welcomed the unexpected chances that came my way. It all started with a simple post on a Facebook group mentioning a Scottish cruise company needing a short-term steward cover. I took the leap, dialled the company’s number, and found myself on a cruise boat within four days. What was supposed to be a brief stint turned into a compelling six-month-long journey, working in hospitality—something entirely new to me—with an added touch of maritime life.
The journey was an absolute delight, introducing me to captivating individuals I might never have crossed paths with otherwise. Cruising around the inner Hebrides repeatedly exposed me to nature’s magnificence. Months spent at sea immersed me deeply in the seascapes and landscapes of Scotland’s West Coast. The very essence of these landscapes seeped into my soul, becoming the wellspring of inspiration for my photography and the paintings that followed.

Note to self: Make sure not to dedicate all your time to hospitality; remember to set aside time for painting!
