Scotland’s West Coast

My life took a complete turn when I embraced a new way of living and welcomed the unexpected chances that came my way. It all started with a simple post on a Facebook group mentioning a Scottish cruise company needing a short-term steward cover. I took the leap, dialled the company’s number, and found myself on a cruise boat within four days. What was supposed to be a brief stint turned into a compelling six-month-long journey, working in hospitality—something entirely new to me—with an added touch of maritime life.

The journey was a joy, introducing me to fascinating people I wouldn’t have met otherwise. Cruising around the inner Hebrides exposed me to the beauty of nature repeatedly. Months at sea immersed me in the landscapes of Scotland’s West Coast, inspiring my photography and subsequent paintings.
